Address: Address: level 3/26-32 Pirrama Rd, Pyrmont NSW 2009
Main Ballroom: 200+ guests
Event Type: Media Launch
Venue opinion as follows:
Lighting: At night the wharf looks great. The large signage reassures you that you have arrived the right place. The outside decking is the perfect place to watch the afternoon slip into the night. The Loft interior lighting is also suitably appropriate for the type of function we were there for.
Ambiance: Old world charm with modern amenities close to the Sydney CBD. On a calm evening the area is very quiet, a place where you can enjoy quiet conversations in a crowd.
Staff: Staff were friendly and professional on that shift. Bar staff were particularly friendly and supportive of the vendors. The hospitality staff on that night had the main function set up with precision.
Entrance: The Loft Doltone House Jones Bay Wharf large decking jutting out of the building fabric gave it an interesting approach. You can anticipate the expansive view even before you get up stairs. Big signs made it easy to find.
Location convenience: The Sydney CBD is not too far away. Jones Bay Wharf is serviced by Wilson Parking which is only 100m away.
AV equipment: As far at the AV available that night, it appeared to be appropriate. The stage had some spot lights for the speeches and the two big screens we were used to follow along the presentation.

Event Type: Gala Dinner
Venue opinion as follows:
Lighting: The gala dinner started in the evening so light outside was dim. Inside the room was lit for the mood of the event. Strong magenta (pink hues) splashed across the checker style ceiling. It looked good for the occasion.
Ambiance: The furnishings were in the style that Doltone House is known for across their other venues. The oval table softened the square mosaic ceiling grids. Flooring was nice to walk on and had amenities to the north of the room. Style without going too far in any direction. The room lighting was kept to enhance da mood, so photographers need to work hard to get good shots in the dimly lit room.
Staff: Staff were on to it that night. Attentive and helpful and never too far away.
Entrance: Ground floor function space on the water is an easy walk in. No stairs or lifts to negotiate. Perfect for people with mobility issues or lots of stuff to carry in or if you needed to get some air for a quiet chat. Easy to find too.
Location convenience: Located next to the Casino Wharf, and a short walk from the Light Rail and taxi rank that are under the casino makes it handy for those who would like to enjoy a few drinks and be car free. Limited street parking although there is a paid parking station 150m away. Easy to get to with our equipment.
AV equipment: The kit that night was ok for the job, the stage was very small and lighting not the best for speeches. AV staff were on hand in the far corner with an adjacent little space for the 3 piece band.
